Job offer: Country Director – Crop Agriculture / Pesticides

We are partnering with a client who are a globally renowned agricultural organization who are looking to recruit a Country Director to lead their initiatives in Southeast Asia from their regional office in Malaysia.

The Country Director will lead a team in Malaysia, with regular travel throughout the region and spearhead key projects delivery focused on pesticide reduction, integrated pest management techniques amongst others. This leadership role will require technical expertise, coordination, budgeting, proposal development, and team management. Additionally, the Country Director will be the main liaison with Malaysia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, MARDI, and other regional partners, funding bodies, and local communities.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive sustainable change in agriculture across Southeast Asia.

Qualifications:

• Degree qualified in an agricultural science based field.

• Professional knowledge of pesticide application/registration, MRLs, and/or bio-efficacy testing.

• Leadership experience from the crop agriculture industry, with a background in either a science, operations or commercial leadership function.

• Excellent stakeholder management at all levels.

• Malaysian resident, fluency in English.

• Willing to travel to and work in remote and challenging locations in developing countries.
