Job offer: Plant Director (Urgent Opening)

Our client is a consumer goods listed company with a unionized workforce. 

The Plant Director will oversee all manufacturing operations at the plant at the Bangpoo Industrial Estate. This includes managing daily activities, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Plant Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase productivity, optimize costs, and ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

 

Responsibility

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
• Ensure production schedules are met and products are delivered on time and within budget.
• Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high-quality standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures and resolve any production issues promptly.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity.
• Lead and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence.

Cost Management:

• Develop and manage the plant's budget, focusing on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor and control operational expenses to meet financial targets.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure plant operations comply with all legal requirements.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, along with a Master's degree, is required. 
• 23-28 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 10 years in production and a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Solid understanding of budget management and financial acumen.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

• Fluency in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
