POSITION: SUSTAINABILITY TEAM LEADER
LOCATION: SOUTHEAST THAILAND
SALARY: 80,000 – 100,000 THB
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sustainability Team Leader to drive our sustainability initiatives within the Food and Agricultural business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team in developing and implementing strategies that promote sustainable practices across our operations. This role requires a deep understanding of agricultural sustainability, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve our environmental and social goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability Strategy Development:
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s sustainability strategy, focusing on sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
- Identify key sustainability goals and metrics, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Stay updated on global sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, and integrate them into the company’s operations.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Manage and mentor a team of sustainability professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, R&D, and marketing, to integrate sustainability into all aspects of the business.
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as farmers, suppliers, customers, and NGOs, to promote sustainable practices and partnerships.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, and report on progress to senior management.
- Conduct sustainability assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Sustainable Agriculture Practices:
- Promote the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices among suppliers and partners, focusing on soil health, water conservation, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
- Develop and implement programs to reduce the environmental impact of agricultural operations, including carbon footprint reduction, waste management, and resource efficiency.
- Support the development of sustainable sourcing policies and work with procurement teams to ensure compliance.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and deliver sustainability reports, including environmental impact assessments, sustainability performance metrics, and progress towards goals.
- Communicate the company’s sustainability initiatives and achievements to internal and external audiences, including senior management, employees, and customers.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and sustainability forums.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agri-Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sustainability management, with a focus on the Food and Agricultural sector.
- Proven track record of leading sustainability initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights and strategies.
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, or similar.
- Willingness to travel to agricultural sites and work closely with farmers and suppliers.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and society.
