SALARY:            150,000 – 180,000 THB – open to discuss

Job Summary:
The General Manager (GM) will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division in the Aviation industry. This role requires leadership in ensuring operational excellence, optimizing service delivery, driving business growth, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations. The GM will lead cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and ensure customer satisfaction while maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and efficiency within the MRO operations.
  • Align business goals with the overall objectives of the company to enhance service quality, profitability, and market share.
  • Foster partnerships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders in the aviation industry.
• Operational Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and optimize workflow to meet customer deadlines while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage operational budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance to drive profitability and cost control.
• Business Development:
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead initiatives to expand the company’s footprint in the aviation sector.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, aircraft operators, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead contract negotiations with clients and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide leadership to a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop high-potential talent within the organization.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant aviation safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor and enhance the company’s safety management system (SMS) and risk mitigation procedures.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in the aviation industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role within MRO operations.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, improving operational efficiencies, and managing large teams.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, etc.) and industry best practices in MRO services.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience working with international clients and cross-cultural teams.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and trends in the aviation MRO sector.
